  • Dendritic polymers - Polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers and polyamidoamine-organosilicon (PAMAMOS) dendrimers; Hyperbranched organosilicon polymers, hyperbranched perfluoro polymers and hyperbranched polyureas prepared via bimolecular non-linear polymerization (BMNLP); Use of these materials in elastomers or as nanostructured films or coatings for anti-biofouling, sensor and specialist printing applications

  • Polyhedral oligosilsesquioxanes (POSS) - Synthesis of POSS structures carrying smart functionalities, and their application as nanoadditives for surface acoustic wave sensors, fluorescence sensors, fuel cell membranes and space materials

  • Polymer Synthesis - Step-growth polymerization, catioinic polymerization, reactive processing; High perforamnce engineering thermoplastics; Synthesis and processing of polyamides, polysulfones, polyimides and polyetherketones; Post-sulfonation of aromatic polymers

  • Organic and Organoelement Chemistry - Organosilicon, organophosphorus and organosulfur reagents and reactions.  Hydrosilylation; Aromatic nucleophlic substitution kinetics; Carbenes
