The Raymond F. Boyer Resource Center
A World-Class Polymer Library
The Raymond F. Boyer Resource Center has developed over the past from its original role as MMI’s library into what is now recognized as one of the most extensive polymer libraries in the world.
The Center contains more than 4,000 books and monographs and over 100 different journal titles. Our strength lies in our special, highly focused research collection that is dedicated to putting knowledge to work. The library is open to the public through special arrangements.
Participation in the Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) nonprofit, membership, computer library service and research organization dedicated to the furthering access to the world information, allows MMI to share and manage library materials and research with more than 72,000 libraries in 171 countries
In 2004, MMI’s library joined the Valley Library Consortium (VLC), pooling resources with 24 other members of the non-profit corporation, whose mission is to provide the regional community with access to shared library and information resources through quality, cost-effective automated services. Through its membership in the consortium, MMI takes advantage of more local services and databases, thus enhancing the services to the community, including greater access to members’ library resources and the availability of selected online, electronic journals for scientists and staff.
